It has come to our attention that West Virginia State Medicaid will only rent-to-own specialized equipment such as, wheelchairs instead of buying them outright. This policy makes vendors unwilling to purchase those items which are customized for the individual. This policy needs to be changed! Medicaid must be responsive to us! Has anyone else noticed this problem? If so, please let us know.

Also we have realized that to get a slot for services sometimes takes an act of God... so...... if you have a problem getting a slot or just Medicaid services in general call this number and let the head honcho know about it!!!! (304) 558-3317

A lack of physical access exists within the business community of Morgantown.  Morgantown is a fairly progressive city in regard to disabilities. Both city and county governments have undergone the ADA transistion process however the business community has not kept up. Do other communities have this problem?  Have you contacted West Virginia Advocates (WVA) PAIR Program. What was their response, please let us know.
